My Preview for “Strikeforce: Los Angeles” sorry the video sucked the card is on tonight not a great card by any means. I really could careless about it but, it’s Free MMA! so I’ll watch it since I got shotime. I will say though the main event to me makes no sense, and the timing of the card makes no sense really a Wednesday? your not WEC, Strikeforce you don’t always put on quality cards like they do. The WEC returns this Sunday (June 20) from Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada for WEC 49: Varner vs. Shalorus live on Versus.
Reed Harris and company have once again produced a phenomenal card that features a main and co-main event that are sure to produce non-stop action.
Former lightweight champion Jamie Varner returns to action against Kamal Shalorus in the main event, and both fighters will be looking for an impressive victory in hopes of securing number one contender status.
A decisive win for Varner will most likely earn him a chance at regaining the 155 lb. championship that Ben Henderson currently holds.
The co-main event features featherweights Josh Grispi and L.C. Davis in a fight that could also determine a number one contender for 145 lb. division which is ruled by champion Jose Aldo.
Eleven fights are scheduled for the event with five of them guaranteed to be shown on Versus.
